In Brussels there are streets lined with excellent restaurants,
as in this example. The most famous street is the Rue des Bouchers, which is very narrow and packed with restaurants
serving, among other things, the famous moules et frites. The moules are excellent in garlic butter. This photo
was not taken on Rue des Bouchers, but it illustrates the best kind of Brussels street!!
The Grand Place (or Grote Markt) is shown below. This is
the main market square in Brussels, and hosts everything from flower markets, to bird markets, events and the bi-annual carpet
of flowers in August.
The square is lined with beautiful, ornate buildings and many bars.
