Eupen is in the province of Liege, close to both the German and Dutch borders. The town is German-speaking, and became a part of Belgium in 1919.

We have had two visits to Eupen - in 2006 (when it rained) and 2007 (when it was cloudy but dry). The train ride between Liege and Eupen is very pretty and well worth seeing.
